Roses a l'Orange

I was experimenting with ideas for my daughter's wedding flowers and these are some of the spoils - lucky me! I do like having flowers around.
These were harder to paint than I thought they would be - had a hard time figuring out the background. I'm still not sure about this one but I find sometimes I have to sit with something for awhile and it either reveals what it needs or I end up liking it after I've put some space between us. Backgrounds always throw me from some reason.
