Rain

rain

rain falls
on watercolours

riverlets of paint
rushing to a pool of grey

a puddle of colour blurred
with no begining or end

such are her days....

Can it be?  It's been so long...
I have painted and I have written. I think it is time to do a dance of creative joy.
Let's hope the love continues!

Rain

What a beautiful peaceful painting.
The writing is soft and meaningful,
If you have others bits of writing I would
love to read them.

You've really expressed your feelings
Deb, I think it's wonderful that you
are back and painting.

Take care.

Oh Deb, that was worth the wait! You are so good! I know I've said something like this before, but you have such a natural way with your brushes. I can't think of any other way to put it, not being at all conversant in the language of art. There are lots of painters in the blogosphere, and at the risk of sounding critical, many of those I've seen, while eager and enthusiastic, are unskilled. This is not at all the case with you and your very real talent.
Does today's post mean that your 'block' has been overcome??

You know Deb, I absolutely love Rain! She's beautiful, and yes, serene. I felt your next painting would be of a woman. I love your women/portraits/self-portraits. There is something so ethereal with each one that captures and evokes so much feeling and emotion, even without your lovely words.

I am doing that "dance of creative joy" for YOU and with YOU!
~ to the love continuing!!!

Doug ~ what wonderful things you have said! Thank you, it means a lot.
Writing is something new for me - I'm really liking it and love the creative stretch, but it only comes in spurts so there is not much to read but will post some as it arrives.

And Deborah~ thank you so much - I am touched by your comment. I'm hoping this block has moved on, I certainly feel like some things have shifted.

Calli - of course you knew! we do seem to be on the same wavelengths don't we? Thank you, my friend!

Dulce - Rain, rain everywhere! Too funny and yet not surprising. thank you for loving my paintings as I love your poetry!

Christine and Carol - thanks for your visit and comments and between you and me - I think I was meant to be a redhead- my great grandmother was - don't know why I didn't get that gene!

Marius - thanks for your poetic comment, I like this description!
