Rule of the Roost

Rule of the Roost
5x7 Oil on Canvas

He may think he rules the roost but I believe it's really those hens who are in charge. Another little study of our MN party animals. He does look like he's dressed for a party, doesn't he?

Hey, don't sell us old roosters short.
You hens wouldn't know what to do without
us. Well, OK, I know that mostly we're just in
the way.

Beautiful painting and a fine looking king
of the barn yard.

Your brush strokes are always so vibrant! I love the painterly look. This rooster looks like he is ready for a 4th of July party with his red, white and blue! He is a handsome bird!!

Ha, ha, ha, I also think that the hens are usually in charge, unfortunately for myself, which am a rooster.
