Sweet Persimmon

Sweet Persimmon
6x6 Oil
Oh where, oh where does the weekend go? I really do think the weekends should be longer. I just didn't get as much done as I wanted to.

I gave the persimmon another go and in the process I have found that I prefer painting on a linen surface rather than canvas. I always have had expensive tastes!

My latest news is that I've been invited to participate in an oils show in December/Jan. I'm looking forward to sharing gallery space with some top area artists.  I'll share the details soon.

I hope everyone else's weekend was longer than mine!

Miss Persimmon is quite lovely, Deb - I share you taste for linen, although I can't say as I've ever painted on it. And congratulations to you for the upcoming show - I wish you lots of success with it.

I like your color palette. Very nicely done!

Congratulations on your upcoming show! That is very exciting.

Wish my weekend was longer, but unfortunately it just flew by with exceptional speed!

Congratulations Deb! Well deserved! And, still loving those persimmons...the greenery, and the bluish contrast to the color of the fruit...nicely done...even down to the detail in the cloth surface...very good management of space!

Beautiful painting, Deb. I love the luscious colors and texture: so perfect for the delectable persimmon, one of my personal favorites!
