"Hunter the Magificent"

I met Hunter at the Ren Fest. He was so regal and calm and had such a presence. His owner plopped a wizard cap on him as they walked off which he tolerated pretty well, but clearly it was beneath him. I think a crown would have been much more fitting.

Woke up to snow on the ground this morning and it is downright cold here. Please say it isn't so! I had thought I might want to go out and paint this weekend but I'm pretty much a fair weather plein air artist. So it's just not happenin'today.

That's incredible, what a beautiful character capture this is. This is one of my favorites. You know, your pretty good at this, I mean really, really good.
Great use of color and of course your wonderful brushstrokes.

He does look like a king.

P.S. Please don't send the snow to Michigan. I know we don't have a snowballs chance in h e double hockey sticks.

So you think I have a chance at this art thing Doug?
Thanks, as always! I do appreciate your comments and praise.

I think you are right Chuck - I am still feeling the buzz! If I would have known that, I would have gone sooner.
Thanks! So glad you like his kingly self.

Oh, Deb, I have to agree with Chuck, you definitely captured his demeanor!

I am attending my Ren fest next year. I've wanted to for a few years and haven't taken the drive, but since you're still feeling a buzz, it must be great fun! ...and, well, men in tights...I'm there! ;)

and thanks for enjoying the hilltop views over at my place :)
