Pretty Little Fairy Girl

I went to the Renaissance Festival this weekend. Lots of merriment and fun was had by all.
Kings,Ladies of the court, artists, knights in shining armor, musicians, pirates a plenty, gypsies, tramps and thieves...and fairies! Oh...and ale.

This was inspired by one sparkly little girl who just seemed like she should be a fairy.

Me? I think I am ready to tune up my tambourine and join the gypsies.

This is a beautiful painting from the Mistress of versatility. You always amaze me.
Really nice Deb, I always look forward to the new pieces on your blog.

If you do turn into a fairy princess, please have someone take a picture.

aahh...thanks Doug! That's so nice to hear.
I will be sure to get pictures! Although, I'm not so sure I would look quite this ethereal and innocent, but I would be stylin' it with all those flowers, leaves and fairy dust!

She is whimsical and so full of life! I love your portraits, Deb! No one captures a subjects 'energy' like you do!

...I'll join you and your tambourine, if can we take Johnny Depp, the gypsy of all gypsies with us?! ;)

Your muse is back!

Thanks Calli!
Yes Johnny can join us.
I think I saw Johnny/Jack Sparrow at the fest - a good look alike anyway - may have to paint him next... What is it about those bad boys?
I think maybe both our muses are back, now if they will just sit still long enough for us to soak up their energy...
