The Mysterious Persimmon

"The Mysterious Persimmon"
6x8 oil
A still life! Something a little different for me. It's been a while since I've painted one. I love the colors in the one and am pretty pleased with how it turned out.
Not much to say about these little fruits. I've only painted them, never tried them. What do you do with them? Make pie? Jelly?  I just find them to be intriguing and mysterious... there's got to be some kind of story in the mysteries of this luscious little fruit.
To all you writers out there - the challenge is on!

Gorgeous painting Deb! Looks like a glass sculpture with marbled colors. I like it!

As for persimmon...it's plausible perceptible professed
knowledge of this peculiar puckish little fruit is with out passion! Phew! I'm sure you could take all of the letter p words in any rotation and they still wouldn't mean anything.

Again great painting Deb

I LOVE this painting! The colors are lovely and I like your composition.

I don't know anything about persimmons except that they do make a nice subject for still lifes.
