River Serenity

Another landscape from the Tetons. I believe this is the on the Snake River. What a beautiful site. Looks like we are the only ones there doesn't it? What you don't see is all the people watching the group of about 8 otters playing on the bank on the opposite shore. The best view for that show though, was the kayak sitting just off shore from where they played. Bet they wish they had a camera!
I think I would like to sit on my porch and see this view everyday - minus all the people of course.

Great painting Deb,
You've really captured the peace and quiet, scenes like this display. Makes the heart beat slow and relaxes the mind. You can't help but smile and kick back.
The reflections in the water are awesome.
This one also has a designers sense of composition and color. Nice, nice, nice.

Thanks Chuck!
It was perfect peace being there - I'm not so sure I'd get much done basking in all that peace. I'm happy I have manged to capture that in the painting.
Haven't had the pleasure of your visits and commentary in a while.
so nice to see you back.
Loved your excerpt today...the mind just seems to wander to so many places with that one......

As a new visitor, I was thrilled when I first saw your earlier postings, Big Sky in Wyoming" and "Glorious" They are beautiful paintings which fire the imagination and make the senses reel. For more praise at this point read Doug's note again. I echo his sentiments entirely. "River Serenity" is superb and in my opinion this wonderful landscape sets a new benchmark. Regards Roger
