Teton Glow

Back to the Midwest. Where are the mountains?? I seriously thought about how I could make the move out there...wonder if it's the vacation afterglow or a true calling? something to ponder I think. Although I do admit I like my little place here. I think the only solution is homes in many places. Anybody want to buy some paintings??

We had a great time in Yellowstone and the Tetons. Our goal was to see all the wildlife they had listed on the park brochure - we didn't quite reach our goal but we did see moose, elk, buffalo, otters, coyotes, swans, ravens, deer and cowboys. Not bad.
Thought we lost the car when we parked and left car running to charge up the dead battery that morning - (but we had to get the picture of the moose!) Coming back, we didn't see it where we left it - "Mom? Is my car gone???" it was just hiding behind a truck. Anything for a good photo op.

I was itching to paint the whole time but really had no time or supplies this trip. Just a camera and the experience.
There was a storm just ahead of us as we headed back from Yellowstone and by the time we got to the Tetons it was getting close to sunset and the clouds and light were spectacular. This is a tame view of the spectacle. There were still areas of mist hanging on the mountains and the sun coming through the clouds absolutely glowed when it hit all that moisture. Hoping I can capture more on canvas as the week goes on and it is freshly imprinted in my brain.
