Deb, when my email opened this morning to reveal your painting, my heart opened as well. I thought "wow I'd love to know this woman." I'd say your time off did you well. Sometimes we need that.Thank you for this painting. Inspiring.
Good Morning Deb,This is a beautiful painting, the person looks vaguely familiar. Rather that's true or not, I don't know.Your ability to capture the essence of a person is amazing. The eyes are always so telling. The poem is sentimental and meaningful. The painting depicts the poem and the poem depicts the painting. Together they mean a great deal. You're a wonderful painter and writer.
Thank you Sue. Your comment means a lot. It always makes me happy to hear they inspire!
DougI don't know who she is...someone we all recognize somehow? They never end up looking like what I start off intending them to look like - someone else always seems to come through!Thank you for your comment on the painting and the poem. Was a little nervous about revealing something I've never done. But hey! we have to start somewhere, don't we?
Mom, I love it. Terrific painting and great poem. Let's hear some more.Love you!

I would like to ask you the permission to use it on my blog as my avatar. Please let me know if I have your consent.Thank you anyway for this inspiring work!
