Tulipe

 "Tulipe"
6x6 Oil on panel
SOLD

I couldn't think of a clever name for this one so I used the French translation.
I can't believe how foreign it still feels to be painting again. The studio fairies must have cast spells on all my supplies. The paint, the brushes, the canvases - nothing reacts the same!
Maybe it's the new easel....
...yeah, that must be it.

Hey Deb,

However things may feel, this one feels just right!
Tulipe ... very french.

I know what you mean about the studio being unfamiliar. I've ventured in over the last two days, sit down in my chair and stare out the window with a blank look. This may take a while.

At least you're painting beautiful things, that's a major positive. Keep it up. Take care Deb!!!!!

Beautiful painting, Deb! The background adds drama to your lovely tulip. Well done!

Thanks Doug!
Now,this time when you head to the studio and stare at out the window - pick up a brush! (It doesn't have to be pretty...)

Thank you Linda. I think the background with it's strokes of blue is my favorite part.

Debbie, I absolutely ADORE tulips...and so this, of course, MUST be a favorite...and then, you have so exquisitely painted a RED tulip and given it a French designation...is there ANYTHING better? I challenge ANYONE to name it! Loved this! You are fabulous!!! Love, Janine XO

An absolutely divine "Tulipe" she is! And the French made all the difference, I think. Just that one "e" on the end... incredible!
