Summer Bloom

A Summer Bloom
6x6 Oil

SOLD

I painted this a while back and forgot to post it. It is one of the new pieces shown in the recent studio tour this past weekend. In spite of the cold and rainy weather it was a good turn out and I really enjoyed having it on my own turf. Thanks to all who made this such a great weekend. The best part of the weekend was when my daughter flew in from Salt Lake City to surprise me. Loved that!

For those who didn't make it, here's a little peek at my house/studio in it's role as a gallery. You can see this painting (and others) framed below.

Now that it's all over, I've got some new things I want to try and I am anxious to get started. Once I figure out where I put everything to make space!

Stay tuned, I'm going to extend the tour online and offer some of the paintings at special tour prices.

If you are interested in this painting please contact me. It is framed in gold.

Hi Deb, What a fine exhibition of your work this has been. You must be feeling very pleased.I held a two week exhibition last summer in my home and I appreciate fully the amount of work involved, the commitment and disruption this causes to normal daily life.

Thank you Roger. It is an amazing amount of work. I'm still trying to figure out where I put things to get them out of the way!

That is a gorgeous flower!...so shabby chic, overstuffed couch fabulous....love your gallery too. I just found out that selling art from my home means I need commercial insurance. Without it, our personal insurance is negated from having the, in home gallery. I said to the insurance woman..."Does this mean all those artists that sell from their homes are negating their home insurance?...yes, she said. Yikes! commercial insurance starts at $750 a year...double yikes....worth looking into!

Thanks! It does look a little shabby chic. I don't do the home gallery too often, this was my first open studio, but I do know what you mean about the insurance. I hadn't checked into commercial insurance for the home but I do know I need a separate insurance rider to cover the art. Homeowners doesn't cover it. So yes, definitely worth checking into.
